O-Idol Promotional Materials and Branding (2020)
O-IDOL is the talent portion of Ateneo de Manila University's Freshman Orientation Seminar. In 2020, I along with my co-deputies created the visuals and the promotional materials for the event. The logo was conceptualized and designed by myself, making it the first actual logo that I created.

O-IDOL 2020 was the first time that the talent show happened online.
As such, OrSem's Entertainment Committee pitched a 'retro' concept, making use of visuals and elements relating to technology.
The slogan of the show is 'The New Wave of Talent'. The wave at the front of the logo aims to capture and represent that.
The Logo aims to capture the visuals of the 'Vaporwave' aesthetic, which was among the most prominent design trends of the eighties--as well as those that try to emulate it. The said style makes use of a lot of technological and futuristic motifs.
